Postcard No.1
A brief introduction
In November 2023, it dawned on me — I never sent a single newsletter for The Federal Inn.
My biggest reason for not sending a newsletter was my personal fear they would inevitably end up in spam, and no one would read them. And anytime I did sit down to write one, it felt sterile and impersonal when I wanted the newsletter to read the opposite. I wanted it to feel like old friends catching up, or getting a personal letter in the mail, because who doesn’t love getting letters? Hopefully not you.
Innkeeping is nothing short of magical. I’ve met incredible guests, stayed up into the wee hours of the night around a bonfire sharing stories, chatted for hours over coffee, and even received gifts from guests. It’s a neat industry I’m excited to share with all of you.
