The last 2 weeks have been a whirlwind around here. Back to back guests, the solar eclipse, the finger knitting workshop, and continuous projects in the garden. Spring is springing! Let’s catch up.
It was a full house for the solar eclipse this past weekend. Clear, beautiful blue skies, and perfect viewing from the inn’s backyard and garden. What a special treat it was. This was my second time witnessing totality, so does this make me a solar eclipse chaser?
I hosted lovely guests from New York, Detroit, Ypsilanti, Pittsburgh, Texas, New Mexico, and Cleveland. I’m brainstorming new breakfast items for this spring, summer, and fall. Currently thinking about sous vide egg cups, a designated croissant weekend each month, and more seasonal pastries. Taking a note or 2 from this cookbook I found at an estate sale:
The Federal Inn’s website is getting a facelift. The new website will be ADA compliant, and also easier to navigate. This new update will be hopefully rolling out by the end of the month. After it’s launch, I’ll have additional announcements —eep!
Short postcard this week, as I’ve got to get back to my chores and the garden. ‘Til next time!
